Too often people come on this forum expecting a 'cure all' for their diving 'problems'. I personally have gained a tremendous amount. My kit for one, has completely changed since I first subscribed. I can appraise potential dive buddies kit a lot easier now - ok the language used to describe 'stroke gear/divers' may offend some of our delicate friends from Cornwall, but when you go on a boat - you look over at some of the 'rigs' you can hear Jim/Jess/George in the back of your head saying something like 'what the fuck is going on here' it makes you step back, and give these people a v. wide berth. I therefore publicly thank all those who are doing it right, have the balls to call a spade a spade, and for giving up so much of their free time helping us 'un-suspects' from the clutches of eternal strokedom. best regards, Dave Robbins British Aerospace Defence Systems Land & Sea Systems Grange Road, Christchurch Dorset BH23 4JE * +44 (0)1202 404876 (phone) * +44 (0)1202 404907 (fax) * mailto:dave.robbins@ba*.co*.uk* * http://www.bae.co.uk/ > -----Original Message----- > From: bdi@wh*.ne* [SMTP:bdi@wh*.ne*] > Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 1999 3:17 PM > To: Tech Diver > Subject: Re: Sick of Rants > > > > billyw wrote> > <snip> > > You'd be surprised at how much information "trey" and the > other WKPP and DIR guys put out to private enquirers. > > <snip> > > rgds billyw > -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
