Tod, I got one at Virginia Mason, it was a (forgive spelling in advance) "Trans-esophogeal echo-cardio gram with bubble contrast". That particular one is a little overkill according to my doc, but the hyperbaric physician at virgina mason suggested it after I got a minor dcs hit last year. It cost $1100, I paid for it myself because I had shitty health insurance at that time. Contact Dr. Ed Kay at the Riverton Family Medicine clinic in Tukwilla for an appointment. He is local diving doc, my personal doc, and a great guy. He tell you where to get a PFO test and all about it.
