The Swagelok companies has a good technical bulletin about oxygen safety. It is called: Technical bulletin No. 5 July 1992 "Oxygen systems". It tells about hazards, causes of oxygen fires, system design, metals selection, non-metals selection and oxygen system cleanliness. It is only 6 pages long so it doesn't go into details but it gives good ideas about oxygen safety. It has also a very good reference list about other publications. They have also made a video about oxygen safety. After reading their bulletin and seeing their video at least I don't want to play with dirty or otherwise improper oxygen systems. You can get the bulletin and video from the Swagelok companies sales representatives that are usually named: xxxxxxx Valve & Fitting Co. xxxxxxx means city, county or state. Or you can write to: Swagelok Co., Solon, Ohio 44139, USA -- Matti.Leinio@hu*.fi*
