Maybe all you guys over 40 should just give up diving. There seems to be a much higher rate of heart problems in the 40-50 age group of divers than in the rest of the general population. I've also notice that for some reason those diving with rebreathers contained in yellow plastic housings seem to have an even higher rate than just plain divers. Glad I've got a few years left before I hit that age mark and have to give it up. -----Original Message----- From: rebreather-request@nw*.co* [mailto:rebreather-request@nw*.co*]On Behalf Of Chris Owen Sent: Sunday, August 15, 1999 7:57 AM To: Adriaan_Haine@ce*.be*; rebreather@nw*.co* Subject: Re: Another RB tragedy 2 > Peter Osborne, aged 44, of rectory Lane, a lecturer in mechanical > engineering at Bracknell and Wokingham College, was pulled from the water > one mile from Sandown Bay, off the coast of the Isle of Wight last Saturday > Rumour Control: Local divers give the same story as the news reports, but also suggest that Peter's kit (CIS Lunar?) was checked and found to be OK. I understand that the kit is at Plymouth with Dave Crockford. Guesses are that cause of death was a heart attack. End rumour control. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
