I fully understand that the vast majority of the population on this planet considers it unwise to make the dives. So what? There are many sport activities people feel this way about. Climbing mountains higher than 25,000 feet - there could be avalanches, storms etc. All ways to die having nothing necessarily to do with the skill of the climber. But if you want to climb K2 you do it. If you want to jump out of a perfectly good plane you do it.
