Two of the deaths so far occurred this year. See also http://wrolf.net/Cautionary.html#Inspiration for the rest of the information that I have. 1) Only about 200 units have been sold as of September 1998. Yes there are satisfied users out there. 2) Not sure whether your 90 OW dives qualifies you for rebreather training. I would suspect not. 3) For Keith Milburn, an inquest has been completed. The coroner, Mr. John Leckey, stated in closing " Keith Milburn was found dead on 13th September 1998 near Cloughan Head, Ardglass (Northern Ireland). The cause of death was salt water drowning and my verdict is that of accidental drowning. Examination of his diving equipment revealed nothing to account for his death. I am satisfied that the death was accidental." 4) I have heard a number of times that the RN tested the unit. However, I have also heard that the commander of the unit is hopping mad at AP Valves. My guess is that the RN testing is or was being used as some sort of endorsement - I would love to know a bit more about the subject. Where did you hear, and what did you hear, about the RN testing?
