The soft-spoken gentlemanly approach "worked" for Sheck in what way? He was, by all accounts a great guy, but are you suggesting that he had the same impact on the attitudes and techniques of those participating at the more extreme ends of technical diving? I suppose that, due to his untimely death, it isn't really a fair comparison.
