I'm working in Sydney the week before. I'm trying to decide between staying in Cairns and doing a bunch of one = day dive trips, or staying on one of the good diving islands like Lizard Island or Heron Island, or doing one of the live aboard charters for 2-3 days. My questions/concerns are: How much luggage can you bring on the live aboard boats (I will have = work clothes, winter clothes (it's cold in Syndey now) , summer clothes (it's warm on the Reef), laptop, dive gear, etc. - will there be room to put = it all?) If I just stay in Cairns and do day trips are they to closer and not as good dive sites - will I miss all the good sites on the outer barrier = reef. Any suggestions for dive shops, dive sites, or charters would be great! Thanks a million!
