Dude, say what you will - there is no excuse for not doing it right no
matter how many people are doing it wrong. Take DIR or leave it - it is
not my problem, I am not in the dive business, and yes, I control the
diving surrounding me and when I can not, I don't dive. Yes I am going
to go dive with Janet and Co, but that will be shallow lobster and
fishing dives, not the Andria Doria. I will be diving with Janet because
I like Janet and I like doing that kind of dive and want to see the
wildlife .

I am used to being on boats with idiots, and always come mixed for a
recovery. I do that well, so it is not my problem if the Wahoo has
idiots on board. When I cave dive, I have a no idiots policy which I can
enforce myself if I can beat the other 100 guys to it. Janet will have
to enforce her own policies.

DIR is not for those who need it, it is for those who want it. If you
want it, you know where to get it - the horse's mouth. The tape is for
sale everywhere. I made it and gave it to GUE and Halcyon, and that is
the end of it for me. Again, take it or leave it, but do not expect me
to have anything but contempt for bullshit that can not be justified.
