Sean, By one hand I meant if I hold the handle with the left hand, I could get the knife out with the right hand (and still hold the light and reel with the left). I don't have to use thick gloves anymore (no more Norway diving :-) since I live in the Far East now, so I don't know first-hand - but I think I could probably do it with 5mm gloves on. However, these knives are SUPER hard to locate. I think Barry might still have some, I bought a bunch when EE had them in-stock.
