I dive in salt water exclusively and I have found the brass bolt snaps to 
be very good if you just spray the spring with some WD-40. After this it 
does not rust. Reapply after 50-100 dives. I have had problems finding S/S 
bolt snaps and as long the brass ones work I don't see any reason for 
changing them.
