My harness is adjusted so once the waist buckle is open and the crotch strap released, I can slip my left hand under the shoulder strap at about nipple height, and with my elbow against my side, push up with that hand and flip the strap to the left and off my shoulder. I can then turn to my right and slip my right arm out, leaving me facing the rig. I haven't tried this in a stiff current, but it works fine in rough seas. I am able to maintain a grip on the trailing line at all times with one hand or the other. I also clip an equipment line to the right shoulder d-ring so that if I should lose my grip on the rig, it won't sink to the bottom. -- Art Greenberg artg@ec*.ne* -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
