While on a Florida cave trip last week, I ran into Lamar Hires of Dive Rite at Little River. He was diving their new Wings BC system, and was only too happy to talk about it. For those who haven't seen it, the top of the line model has redundant 85 lb lift bladders, and the harness is now integrated into a soft-pack wings assembly. It attaches to the tank doubles by means of both bolts and cam bands, each of which goes around both tanks. This looks fine for cave diving but might be a problem for wreck diving, since a horizontal projection in the wreck could get wedged in the triangular space between the cam bands and the two tanks. Overall the workmanship looks much more professional than what I am used to from Dive Rite. Suggested list is somewhere in the neighborhood of $500. John Heimannj@ma*.nd*.gt*.co*
