The new version is graphical, but I've tried to keep the ergonomics fairly trim so that plans can be entered and modified quickly. I wasn't planning on doing a GUI version, but I was on a remote island recently, and the dive shop was using ZPlan by editing and reviewing in Notepad. My girlfriend was so embarassed that she offered to write a Java front end if I ported the algorithm. Well, free labor is hard to turn down, so I took her up on it. While we were at it, we decided to add full table generation and printing capabilities, so you can print out and laminate a slick-looking table (with bailouts and various depths/runtimes in one chart). Should be ready in a few weeks. When that's done, there are a half-dozen minor bugs I've got to fix in the non-graphical version. Speaking of which, I did a download count a couple of weeks ago - I was pretty surprised to see that there have been over 8,000 individual downloads, and it's still clocking up at 20-30 a day. > >Strange he admits to it being a bug. I did check that out over the weekend, and the O2 narcosis calcs are a little off. Good call - I probably wouldn't have spotted that one, as I never use the feature myself.
