We made four dives in Lake Erie, off Long Point, over the holiday weekend and
had similar Vis.
Our depths ranged from 85 to 120 feet.
Lake Erie vis will improve once the Thermocline is established. we expect at
least 40+ and have seen 80 at depth. Always cold.
The best was Schooner B this has masts intact, but is half buried. A really
good tune up dive.

For great lakes shipewrecks in general:
Are the ones in Lake Michigan getting buoys and markers ?
Any problems with boaters removing them ?
What is being done to preserve them ?
Any and all ideas helpfull.
I have heard that Schooner X/St James recieved a Tobermoray style buoy this
weekend which should definately help preserve it. Will visit her later this
summer.

PS we had half our divers with cameras, snapping away and documenting
deadeyes etc.

Thanks

Mike J
