Hi Everyone,

Some people have been asking about regulators for oxygen, and the problems
of getting fills to a high pressure in normal scuba cylinders.
Here in Australia most everyone is using Airdive oxygen dedicated
regulators. They come standard with a type 10 bullnose fitting, so they
screw straight into a medical or industrial oxygen valve so if you can
buy your own cylinder then you can get it refilled at normal oxygen
suppliers as they will have the correct fill fittings. You can't hire
cylinders as the cylinders are not tested in accord with the standards for
underwater breathing cylinders. You can also get them with pin index oxygen
fittings. They have one low pressure port and one High pressure port,
with a very unusual thread. Like a BSP but parallel. I think you can get
either a mouthpiece or an oral/nasal mask. They have a 2 metre hose, but
you can ask for another length if you want. The bullnose spigot *can* be
changed for a DIN one, but they don't like it as then you *might* run oily
air through it, un O2 cleaning it in the process. I've had mine for a
couple of years and it has given no trouble. (O2 deco about once a
fortnight) They are a *very* simple design, piston first stage and a
second similar to the new Dacor thingy that exhausts through the diaphram.
(Airdive one is about 15 odd years old) They also make regs that have
the hose coming in from the left or bottom so if you have a strong
preference for an unusual hose arangement they can probably help. The
people at airdive are *really nice* and they can do all kinds of stuff.
I think the regs are about AUD$300.
They can be contacted at,

They do a lot of mail stuff, all over the Pacific, so they can cope with
overseas orders.
