The Abyss Explorer is for these more demanding divers.
If you're not the kind of diver that needs one, we encourage you to
continue the more conventional approach and use ONLY tables. If, =
however, the
kind of diving you do requires the greater precision offered by a well
engineered dive computer, we encourage you to look into the Abyss =
Explorer.

Chris, tell me who these demanding divers would be. I for one can't =
think of anyone doing more demanding dives than we do in the Woodville =
Karst Plain. We go deep, stay long and do the shortest decos most people =
wouldn't even consider. No computer is going to give me any better =
tables than the ones we run now. And most of our profiles are not square =
bottoms like most of you think. They are up and down and some are just =
plain scary (40 min at 230ft then 30 min at 60ft and another 40 min more =
at 230, with no deco in between). We have diligently worked this stuff =
out to the point that most in this field will not even believe the dives =
we pull off. If I don't need a computer, tell me who does. Tables are =
simple and quick. The way it should be.

Abysmal diving is a staunch advocate of using hard tables as backup to
your dive computer on any type of serious technical diving.

This is about the only decent thing you posted in your infomercial. =
The fact is that computers allow one to be sloppy. Sloppiness leads to =
stupidity which then leads to accidents. Make a good downloadable bottom =
timer. This is what most of us want.

  Chris
