>What about redundant masks? Fine, especially on long dives it might get crucial. Do not forget to put the mask in a sealed bag with defogger on it.... >I have TDI training, as some of you know , and have been taught to have >redundant equipment. This includes a redundant depth guage and bottom >timer. The stuff I found in some of the web sites also state a single >pressure guage. Sure, since I dive independant doubles each tank has its >own guage. You are making a general mistake here. Quite a few before you have made the same mistake. DIR is a complete system. You can't do one thing right and ignore other parts, because it won't make sense as you found out. One SPG, isolation manifold. Definitly no independent doubles. One bottomtimer, your buddy has the backup. Regards, THOMAS -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
