Hi Stroke
I'm very happy to have learnt a new word. Thanks for this adress, I think
I'm gonna have a great time.
Gert is here and well. See you soon.
Hugo.

Hello All

My name is Hugo, I'm OWSI and currently technical diving instructor at
ClubRed in Dahab, Sinai, Egypt.

Here we dive in wetsuits all year round, although I admit a dry suit would
be more confortable in February-March (the water drops to 21 degrees). And
then we also use computers. And enjoy them. I'm sure Sim will find a new
name for me.

Dahab is far away from the "real world", and information of any kind,
specially tech diving, is always welcome. Even Internet on-line is not a
solution, as the line is too slow. All info welcome then.

On the other hand, diving here being easy and pleasant all year round, I'm
in the water everyday, so if you have questions about the area, warm-water
deep diving or anything I can answer...

Very interested in Trimix computers. Whenever you get the results of that
Beta-test...

Hugo.

Hello All

I am new to the list (lurking for 1 day) and a relative newcomer to
technical diving.

Just as a bit of background. I am a PADI OWSI and TDI Extended Range Diver.

Most of my diving has been done in Dahab, Egypt. - Red Sea, but I have done
some diving in other tropical places such as the Coral Sea, Solomon
Islands, Florida Keys, Sodwana - South Africa, Great Barrier Reef, Bali and
Sulawesie (Indonesia) and finally, one dive in the Med off the coast of
France.

I currently live in England but have yet to do some dives here. I have
dived in some of the quarries / pits they use for training but would not
really classify them as dives. I have joined a BSAC club and intend to do
some serious diving once I have purchased a drysuit.

I have about 330 dives, of which perhaps 15 are proper ER dives (Redundant
gear etc.)

I have a great deal of deep diving experiance (50m +) but most of it was
done with the standard rec gear. Stupid huh? Anyway, a close call in a deep
overhead environment convinced my that I should do the training. It was
also fortunate that the club I dive with in Dahab has now included TDI
training which was where I did mine.

My equipment includes
Dive Rite Transpac II + Superwings (Jr Wings for single tank dives),
Spiro Arctic Reg
Forcefins
Uwatec Alladin Air X Nitrox

I need to purchase a reg to feed over the left shoulder (I use independant
doubles) and a drysuit (As well as weights and tanks).

So much for that

Later
  Charles
