Peter responded to my note on sudafed with a discussion of the relation between
sudafed and DCI.  While this is interesting in itself, I should note that O2 
toxicity is not directly related to DCI (and, in fact, is probably a more 
serious concern, since the odds of surviving an O2 hit without a full face
mask are low).  I understand that O2 tox is thought to be caused by interaction
between high PO2 and some of the enzymes in one or more neurotransmitter 
pathways, and since sudafed resembles epinepherine it is plausible that it
could aggravate the effects of O2.
