Hi Mark and thanks, I too was diving with independent doubles up until last year. They were alum. 80's strapped to a Zeagle Ranger. The ranger is now for sale and I use the alum. 80's for stage bottles. I will go to L.P. 66 ft3 for stages when finances allow. My question for the group is this. Even with a O.M.S. stainless steel back plate. harness and 95 lb. wings I still need a 20 lb. weight belt to remain neutral on my deco hangs. I'm using L.P. 85's for my back gas. By the time I get to 20 fsw all the inflation gas has been exhausted from my wings and dry suit. I'm 5'-8'' and 155 lb. The only thing I can think of is my dry suit. It's a O'Neill 7mm neoprene. A cheap make I know but at the time it was all I could afford. Would going to a DUI CF200 make a difference? Or do you folks have any suggestions? BTW, I dive wrecks in the northeast USA. Dive safe!
