I have received the official report of the incident at Lake Jocassee, SC and have posted it on the Trimix site on the "Links" page. I was given permission by Rober Kinder to do so. On reading this report it is amazing to me that: 1. The diver decided to do his first extreme deep dive solo in a dark, cold, murky lake. 2. That his diving parters (one of which is known for his extreme deep air diving ventures) did not counsel him to do otherwise or even watch out for him. 3. That his gear configuration was so fucked up when it is known that he was not trained to dive set up the way he was. 4. That his in-water and surface support was non-existent to the point of not even having surface 02 on hand, or enough gas in the goddamn boat to make it back to shore. This diver is lucky to be alive today, lucky as hell This dive is a end-to-end clusterfuck and it makes me really wonder about the other divers on the boat with him. This story seems so fucked up, like a certain death-wish, that I am left wondering if the whole story is being told here. Fellow divers, read the chilling report and you tell me what you think...
