The facts remain the same; the story will be (has been) twisted to suit the weakness of the parties that wish to deny the process of growth via learning and sharing of that process. 1. Solo diving a rb with huge nightmarish human factor complexity without oxygen supply and minus a full training course and adequate “second nature experience” on same machine amongst a group with a leader that DID not take safety issues quite as seriously as they should have.........a high price lesson, too f’n high! Do any of you think the star wars program would be back on the agenda (as fast) if Henry Kendall was still around to testify as to why it is not a good idea for humanity in the long run? I admire him most for the stand-up job he did in shooting down the SWP (even contradicting his sponsor in a reversal of opinion). What a loss this tragedy is. And for all that actually buy the Walmart BS (or is that BS Walmart story); what do you suppose the outcome of a reasonably subtle hypoxic event would manifest a symptom as anyway????????????????????????????? Well, information about Dr. Kendall's alleged prior condition that could have killed him "in a Wal-Mart". To be quite honest, the story that we have stinks, because it was preceeded by a very detailed explanation of how an O2 valve was set for outboard O2. Was this valve not in fact set to this position? My gut feeling on this one is that Dr. Kendall had some terminal disease, and chose the manner and place of his death. The Wakulla 2 project have a whole load of facts, and hold their news conference. The Wakulla County Sheriff's Department flips out on them, because they feel that they own any death in their jurisdiction. Information about the prior condition, and whether it could strike suddenly, would help confirm or deny this. Heart attack, and you would assume that he was overwhelmed in the water. Stomach cancer, you would presumably not assume that. And was the equipment divable when discovered? Was this valve set for outboard oxygen?
