James;  For what it is worth, I make my own custom made stainless backplates
for sale. I presently make and sell 12 lb stainless plates for doubles, the
either come in stainless or electropolished (the latter allows you to pick
up chicks easier).  I also make and sell 4lb stainless plates. The 12 lb
plates sell for $120. canadian, and the 4lb goes for $80.00 canadian peso's.
You pay the freight.
