Subject: Re: how to stage mount two cylinders
Wags,

<excerpt><smaller>I am about to commence TDI Extended range and will
need a second stage.

</smaller></excerpt>

Does that mean Deep Air? This course itself falls under ultimate
strokism...

So why bother about your equipment? Go like your buddies and why not add
a bungie wing? Extended Range is air diving to max 200ft...

DIR is not only the equipment, it is also about mentality.

<excerpt><smaller>So, what to do. Please advise how the second stage
cylinder is mounted on the left side.

</smaller></excerpt>

<excerpt>The same as your first stage cylinder. Just clip it on the
d-rings. Make sure your stages are rigged DIR too, makes a big
difference!

</excerpt>

<excerpt> <smaller>What is considered to be the best size stage
cylinders? I currently have a 5l but, two of these on one side is going
to be quite a weight and, space requirement.

</smaller></excerpt>

The proper cylinder size depends on your exposure. However, it is quite
possible to have two 5L or two 7L or two 11L under the left arm. No
problem at all.

<excerpt> <smaller>I will be doing deep open ocean divers and possibly
some wreck.</smaller>  <smaller>Wags</smaller>

</excerpt>

So you will be doing DEEP AIR... Wags, wake up man, DEEP AIR is dead.
Consider looking for another instructor, preferably someone who knows
what he is doing... :-)

Good luck,

Thomas
