Obviously I am also using AOL as an ISP. It may not be the greatest but it does have a few good points. 1. I can access it around the country when I travel. In most locations, it is a local call. 2. I have made a few friends in the scuba chat room. Some of whom I have actually dived with! (Laugh if you like, but I've enjoyed talking with some of the other divers.) Like any ISP, it also offers: 1. Access to the internet. 2. A private email address, not connected to my employer. Does my choice of ISP really say anything about me as a diver or as a person? I thought it was a way to access the web before I had access through work. I liked it better than Prodigy, GEnie, and Compuserve. Before it was available elsewhere, I liked the Instant Messaging capability it offered. It still suits my current needs for an ISP, and my friends know this email address. I see no reason to change. It's a means to an end. That's all. J.Sitchin -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
