Bob, Haskel booster is a pneumatic gas booster. It is used to boost low pressure from a He or O2 source into your scuba tank to high pressure. So, if you have a He source of 300psi in a big T cylinder you can boost it to 1000psi in your scuba tank. That way you can use your He bottles till they are almost empty. Most T cylinder are filled from a gas company to 2200psi, so you can understand that that a booster comes in handy. Haskel is one of the oldest and best known companies, they use low pressure air to drive the booster. There are also electical driven boosters on the market.
