My guess is that Ikelite et.al. is a big enough co. that they can afford to have another co. -or themselves- make specialized molds so they can form Lexan in they shapes they need. They also sell alot more housings around the world then EE and AUL. Remember, the canister light market is probably a *very* specialized one and a very small one. If they couldn't use "off the shelf" parts these lights would cost alot mote than they do now. Of course this is simply my interpretation. Perhaps Barry Miller, or someone from AUL would like to comment.
