I recently built an oxygen analyser from a set of plans available on the WEB. It works great! However, I will need to run high O2 percentages though a BC inflator, needle valve, tubbing, T-Barb hose connectors, etc to be able to test my nitrox deco gas. My reg is oxygen clean, but not the needle valve, connectors, etc and I would like to clean them myself. I have read on the WEB that it is easy to oxygen clean stuff using "Simple Green" or "409" degreasers/cleaners but they do not give you any details other than that. So can any of you do-it-yourself'ers give me the best way to oxygen clean the above items? Stuff like: - Amount of cleaner to water percentages. - Should the water be hot or cold. - At the moment I have access to "Simple Green" and I have noticed there are at least 3 different varieties, which one is best? - Lime and decalcifier. - House hold degreaser. - Automotive degreaser. - How long should you soak the items. - Any other steps or caveats I may have missed or am not aware of. Any info you can pass along would be great. Thanx in adavance. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
