Subject: Re: truk
Left for Truk one year ago today. Going back in 2001, last year we stayed at
the Truk Stop Hotel. Dove with Blue Lagoon but on our next trip we will be
doing a live-a-board. If you have any non divers traveling with then you kind
of have to do land based (in my opinion). The Continental has changed name I
believe, but I would stay there instead of the Truk Stop. At the Truk Stop
when you walked over to the water, you saw hundreds of bottles, cans, you name
it floating in the water. The Continental is at the far end of the island and
has a nice beach. That is where my wife and the other non divers spent part of
there day.
We have checked into both the Aggressor and Thorfin, got the impression that
we would enjoy the Aggressor more. The live-a-board does cost a lot more but
we will get to do many more dives. After the week diving Truk the non diving
spouses will be meeting us in Palau for another week of diving.
