Hope this helps. "SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ZPlan will run on just about any Win95/WinNT machine. It is compiled for 32 bits, so it won't work on DOS/Windows 3.1 unless you have Win32's installed. RUNNING THE PROGRAM Before I get far into this, I want to address the number one email communication I get from new users, mostly the folks who aren't all that comfortable working with a non-graphical program. The email usually goes something like "Hey, Bonehead, I just downloaded ZPlan, but when I ran it, it popped a DOS window up for a few seconds, scrolled some stuff, then went away! What did I do wrong?" You are not doing anything wrong - it's supposed to do that - please read the following section carefully. You should have the following files in your install directory (C:\ZPlan103 by default): README - this file. LATEST - Any late-breaking news, and the revision history. zplan.exe - the program itself. o2.cfg - o2 clocking table - don't mess with this. tissue.dat - the file that saves your tisse loads between dives. Don't mess with this, either. profile.dat - the file you configure to plan your dives. profile.small - a minimalist version of profile.dat metric.dat - a sample profile.dat for you backwards metric users. :-) Here's the way it works. There's a control file called profile.dat, and an executable called zplan.exe. You set up your diveplan by editing profile.dat, then simply run zplan.exe with no arguments. It will scroll your deco schedule uncontrollably across the screen, and will also write a copy out to a file called plan.out (by default, you can name it whatever you want in profile.dat). Then the DOS window exits." >Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. >Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. > > -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
