I was wondering if anyone can offer me any advise?

I dive wet, normally 3mm full length. If I follow the DIR way of OW 
diving, which to my knowledge is a single wing with either a CC liftbag 
or surf mat as the redundant BC. 

What if I'm planning to penetrate a wreck and the primary BC fails 
during the penetration??
Would I need to "stack" a couple of wings to over come this situation???

I would appreciate any advise, thanks for your time!
