But his message came as a line 253 characters long and a line 118 characters long, which many email displayers including mine display truncated rather than folded. So, here is his message reformatted so it can be read:- > Help! I have a "new" Nemrod double hose regulator - actually less than a year old. Unfortunately, the L.A. smog has gotten to most of the rubber parts (hoses, diaphram, etc.) making it unuseable. Does anyone know who might be able to supply parts for this reg (SNARK III) in the U.S.? Since Nemrod is in spain, its really hard to get parts from them. Any suggestions? Len Tillim (1) When you are typing email, and the emailer's display automatically folds a long line, do not assume that the line is split in reality like on the screen display. (2) Diving gear rubber is important for the diver's life and shouldn't perish that quick!!!, smog or not. Rubber <can> be made to last: e.g. I have seen Siebe Gorman (UK) oxygen rebreathers and gas masks made in the 1960's or earlier and their rubber parts are as good as new. As a matter of interest re conserving rubber, in the 1960's I had a sport diving course including an oxygen rebreather, and when the rebreathers were in the boat he always covered them with lifejackets or whatever was available, to keep the sun off their breathing bags.
