I would like to submit to your opinion an italian issue regarding the trimix
diffusion, instruction and practice.
Since about one year there's [in Italy] an organization promoting the trimix
use, actually it's a trimix training agency, an official organization
releasing licenses.
They're trimix-only oriented.
To partecipate to a trimix class you only need a recreational advanced
license, nothing else is requested.
They generally request "to have a good experience of immersion with minimum
100 immersions with 30 over 30 meters. At that point it's necessary school
to become good divers, trimix divers"

Would like to be a trimix instructor? ... "To reach that important
qualification it's necessary to be divers really expert and to have the
qualification of any other federation or to have a patent of assistant
instructor.
Course can be kept only by trainers of..."

Rumors say the courses consist in auto-training on their trimix manuals and
a two days class. A couple of dives are part of the instruction.

One important factor... you're requested to pay the bill before the license
is released..:-)

So far, a recreational instructor, if he studied the manual and partecipated
to a class, after a couple of training dives is qualified to :" Trimix
instructor condition can patent till companion of 80 meters. Only with right
of seniority and revolation he could patent the 95 meters."

and there's a promotional offer too:"All instructors of Sport's Diving
Federation could reach the patent at a special price. For any information
call the number under signed or send us a message."

There're some other interesting facts, including the suggested rig:
an indipendent dual 15 liters (one filled with mixed gas and the other one
with air), assembled on a not better specified B.C. and three regulators.
The deco oxigen (from six meters and above) is planned to hung lined below
the boat.
No long hose is specified or requested, neither lift bag, reel ...

I could probably say more but I think there was enough for you.

Still alive?

Thanks for comments.

Deep blues and blue skies

Paolo
