	Zak, there is nothing wrong with using a pony as you described. The people
on this list are generally taking about technical diving (techdiver list).
Technical diving is overhead, required deco, or below 130 feet. In the sense
of "technical diving" the use of a pony as a pony is limited. Unless you use
a pony as a stage bottle, and hang it from your side then its okay.
	You might want to try hanging the pony you are using from your side for
several reasons:
	1. You can unsnap it and hand it to another diver.
	2. You can easily access the valve.
	3. It makes it easier to swap tanks for repetitive dives.
	4. God forbid, pony brackets are to expensive.
	5. I feel off balance with a pony bottle. Using it as a stage bottle 	   is
more comfortable.
	6. Hanging the pony will give you some practice at handling stages
should you elect to stretch into technical diving.
