This is why we all have different opinions, we all see things a little different. pony bottles are for out of or low air situtations not to extend dives, I agree. sometimes the people are to stupid to see the light. as for the almost drowning situtation of putting the wrong regulator in his mouth (Pony) he shouldnt of had a problem it just a regulator swap. feel hard breathing, check air , swap regs , see you made a mistake and continue from there. of course he had pressure gauges on both and seen he used the wrong bottle. At this point he could continue his dive or abort according to how confortalbe he felt with out his back up.
