Maggie, I use two Oceanic Delta II Nitrox Regulators for my deep diving. (Down to 70 metres, or about 230 feet.) One has a balanced piston first stage and the other a balanced diaphragm first stage. I can't fault either of them, or tell the difference in breathing resistance at depth between the piston and diaphragm first stages. I guess the choice is ultimately yours but thats my 2 cents worth. While on the subject of Oceanic regulators, never buy a Slimline. The best comparison to it's breathing resistance is "like trying to pull a breath through a vacuum cleaner" Geoff. PS I am a deep tech instructor working in Australia. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
