Mike, I can not believe this guy. He is worse than I said he was. This
is so stupid and so dangerous that the Park needs to know that this risk
is sitting out where the public could be severely injured or killed (
never mind the obvious failures).

Stone is the single most arrogant incompetent I have ever run across,
and he needs to have his ignorant butt booted out of there.

I do not even allow SEALED scooters out of the water until the Park is
closed. This joker has no regard for anything but making a name for
himself, and that name is mud , in my opinion, and everyone needs to
know it.

He is going to kill some people , and we all recognize this. Nobody in
cave diving but the absolute worst and the absolute most ignorant are
involved with this guy.

I wonder if Stone even understands what the "hydride" in Nickel Metal
Hydride means, or how a battery actually works. I know he is clueless on
cave diving, but even a shade tree auto mechanic understands how a
battery works.

This message you included below tells it all. Also, I can tell you from
making these things myself that he is grossly exaggerating the prices of
everything. I wonder if King knows how badly he is being hammered on
this stuff. Has King even gotten a dive yet? He better hurry up, as not
only is it going to rain like hell, whe the park people get back from
vacation and find out that these strokes have pulled off four dives in a
month and have not even put that bullshit mapper in the cave, they are
not going to be happy. I also hear the complaints form the public are
mounting up big time.

Bill-- the batteries supplied by GM Ovonics have a yellow warning tag
stating "Warning, Explosive Gases", this does not correspond with their
"verbal" statement. I realize they have safety valves on each battery,
but
then, thats X times the amount of batteries in each scooter for a
failure
point to occur. Should this failure happen on the mapper, it would
almost
certainly flood the front section, or require a complete recalibration
of
most, if not all it's electronic components from the shock wave. This
alone
would justify the expense, not to even mention the divers safety, or the
fact that, should it explode 14,000' back into the cave, It will most
likely
remain there. .

Guys --

The bulkhead plates (4 of them) come to $1642 for outfitting
the Fat Men with complete electronics isolation. Are we all
agreed this is absolutely required? I need to hear a unanimous
response from all four of you (John, John, Andrew, and Mike).
Please respond by tommorow morning early as I will need to
kick this off at the shop before I leave for work. Thanks.
