What's the point then?  

You're using one really reliable bottom timer that cost under $200 and one
really complex (read: unreliable) bottom timer that cost over $700.00.

A watch and a bottom timer is all that's needed.  I don't even bother with
the watch, myself.   (but, then again, I'm not doing those crazy :25
second deep stops.. :)
