Subject: Re: I can't resist
Leaving my feelings about the Cochran Nemesis IIa out of this equation, I
will agree that the Commander makes a damn fine bottom time. I find it
easier to read than my Uwatec (backup) bottom timer. It is also extremely
reliable (the word reliable and Cochran in the same sentence is almost
oxymoronic but not in this case).

It enters gauge mode it a way that is much more user friendly than the
Uwatec computer - it will still serve as a bottom timer and depth gauge
after its been violated.

If you need to use it as a "computer" while its still in its violated mode,
take out the batteries, reverse the batteries, insert {this clears the
computer) battereies - in the reverse mode, remove batteries and install
batteries in the normal mode.

Finally, the Nitrox Commander makes a nice and easy and reliable nitrox
computer whle diving my Drager.

So ... it actually can be used for more than just an expensive (albeit the
easiest to read) bottom timer.
