Greg Ryan just asked me if Lexan is always clear, or if it can be used as a
slate.

It's always clear, as far as I know. I've seen people try to scuff up the
surface with sandpaper for writing, but it isn't as good as the white ABS I
have, or whatever they usually make slates out of. I'd recommend checking out a
plastic supply store. The white ABS sheets I have are great for slates,
although at 3/8" a little thick. They were also perfect for the wrist console.
But, I made a drysuit rack for my, ahem, "dry" suit out of PVC that holds it
feet-up on a skeleton with forced air drying. I wish I had made it out of
Lexan, and I thought people using piping to make tank mounts might want to
consider Lexan. I'm also going to use Lexan to make a battery housing for a
lighting system.
