Captain Zero,
What difference of application can you possibly be referring to? In case
you are unaware, both George and I are primarily ocean divers. George lives
minutes from my boat, and we ocean dive together using DIR with great
success.

You may find if you try to implement DIR in toto, that your dives become
much more productive. Until a few years ago, I felt much like you and was
into personal preference since I was an "experienced wreck" diver. All this
changed with one dive using the DIR methods, since I felt much slicker and
quicker. My dives have become much more productive & enjoyable. The true
"proof of the pudding" if you will, is that I can and have done many
different types of dives in different environments and even countries
without changing anything in my rig except exsposure suits. Why do anything
else? Try it, instead of making up reasons to justify the non-defensable
"personal preference" arguement.
Regards,
Errol Kalayci
