Oh and yes you are considered a Third World Country: Third World Development Series: http://www.mediaguild.com/outofdev.html Over the past fifty years, millions of Brazilians have left the poverty of the rural areas, particularly from Brazil's northeast, attracted to the cities with the promise of jobs and a better life. Poverty, overcrowded living conditions, poor sanitation and malnutrition are among the major problems in cities like Sao Paulo. Yet, Brazil has the eighth largest economy in the world and is the biggest agricultural exporter after the U.S. This documentary explores how it is that a country with so much potential seems to have excluded the majority of its population from the benefits of development. Seems all your poor is do to over crowding caused by to much #$#@ and not the U.S.A. Oh and in case you forget the Spanish are not indigenous to Brazil but they came and oppressed just as they did through out most of this hemisphere in the last couple of hundred years. Only in the U.S.A we stopped them cold at Mexico at New Orleans at Florida and California. http://palladio.arch.Virginia.EDU/~plac544/brazil/test.html According to United Nations projections, the world's most highly populated cities in the year 2,000 will be located in less developed countries (LDCs). Of the top ten "mega cities", two of them, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, will have 24 million and 13 million people respectively by the year 2,000. These cities will reach such phenomenal levels of population as a result of rapid urban population growth which will require massive new housing areas and redevelopment of existing neighborhoods. Ironically, these cities are already experiencing great difficulties in managing their available financial and natural resources for a well- functioning urban system. Nearly 20 percent of Rio de Janeiro's residents are currently living in favelas (informal housing settlements) with serious infrastructure deficiencies that reduce quality of life and economic productivity while increasing the vulnerability of the poor. While these settlements are growing, the debt crises in the last decade have accelerated the deterioration of Brazil's economic prosperity to automatically improve urban living conditions. > For you americans, if any country is not following the "american way of > life", or any "USA rules", they need to be banished... Oh and Cuba is so great that is why they are dying to reach Miami. Castro can kiss my ass. On second thought forget about that he is so old he'll be D.O.A. anytime now and Cuba will be free again.
