John, this is the whole point. Dumber than dogshit instructors like John Walker (whose bases his argument against safe, clear, bottle marking on cost!) are given a licence to preach their utter nonsense and dangerous perfidy to students. When, through ignorance, sloppiness, or bovine stupidity they fuck the dive or the instruction up so completely that they kill their students, their first reaction is to claim they can't be held responsible for what happened because the "students were aware of the danger" and had signed a waiver saying so. You may be, as you say, a 'simple Advanced Open Water diver' but you are LIGHT YEARS ahead of dozey fucks like Walker who call themselves instructors but are too dumb or twisted to figure or admit that their way kills people on simple dives while the WKPP way keeps people alive on the long deep ones. >Look at the records. Look at the WKPP death rate. Zero. Look at the >IANTD death rate. Nonzero. Look at the IANTD dive complexity. Moderately >high. Look at the WKPP dive complexity. VERY HIGH. And they still don't get it. Hence the 4 x 2. Hey Walker - THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD - got it yet? rgrds billyw -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
