Older divers will remember that "wing" bc's were a short lived trend in recreational diveing that came between horse collar's and jacket style. In those days you just threaded the wings onto the stainless tank band/ clamp thing, then onto an ordinary plastic backpack. The only difference that I can see between wings of 15 years ago and the current "superduper, latest tech diveing" bc is that they lack a couple of parallel slots in the material that let the tank band through. The Junior wings from dive right have these slots, but the larger ones don't. Just cut a couple of slots in your large wings, just like the ones that are already in the juniors. I haven't done it, but I've seen it done and it seemed to work fine. I think he burnt the material to stop it from fraying. I used the juniors on a recent trip to warm water where I wasn't allowed to dive doubles. It worked fine, and with the straps of an old style backpack I could put on rings and things to clip things to, so I didn't dangle. I also carried a pony, I just couldn't stand the idea of diving with only one air supply. Cheers Jason O-)
