Subject: Drysuits; anyone out there ?

Technical Divers

Well,
Anyone care to share experiences about drysuits they owne(d). Why they are
good or bad and why anyone should buy them?
I'm a big believer in trilaminates myself. i've owned an Aquion Pro for
five years and about 350 dives.
Apart from a small leak in the seams along the crotch area (where else...;)
), which was succesfully patched with Aquasure, 2 neckseals and a
modification to the Apeks outlet valve, this suit has brought me nothing
but pleasure and dry comfortable dives.
The material dries very quickly (usually the suit is dry before I've
stashed my material after a dive) and is very snag resistant, although i've
noticed some cuts in the knee area, which have penetrated one layer of the
409 gr/sq ft material. Kevlar on my next suit should prevent this.
The average life expectancy of a trilam suit is about five years/500 dives,
so I am curious if it shall fall apart soon (joke!) Pity Aquion went
bankrupt, or my next suit would be exactly the same again. For now, my eye
is on the TLS suit range of DUI, which, with the necessary KEVLAR pathes in
the knee ,elbow and shoulder area should provide an excellent, durable and
comfortable suit. The CF200 material just does not dry quickly enough, and
I do not like neoprene, be it crushed or compressed or whatever, it still
compresses a little at depth. I do wonder about two other offerings, the
Otter Superskin and O'Three RI range . But as of yet, I have no more info
than that the manufacturers give on their websites, so anyone with
experiences with those suits would be welcome.
Thanks for your time, and please, if you have any comments on this topic,
feel free to share them with me. I would especially favour any input from
fellow Europeans.

PS: For all you guys out there that insist on diving wet, sorry for the
waste of time and bandwidth
