I'm interested in using my backplate and wings with a single tank, say a steel
95.  I know that DiveRite makes a single band kit, but it's really expensive,
and I was actually hoping for something more convenient.  I've also seen --
in Aquacorps, I think -- a latch type setup where the slot is connected to
the backplate, and the latch is connected to the band on the tank.  Although
in theory that is great, it looks like it would push the tank several
inches away from the backplate, thus throwing off the center of gravity
and other trim elements.

I was kind of hoping that I could take an existing BC (that has the straps
for the tank), punch holes in it where the backplate bolts would go through
and put grommets in (much like how the wings are set up).  Any comments on
this?

Any other ideas?
