Subject: Software for bubble models

Hi all,

There are now a number of programs available which allow dive planning and
simulation based on Haldanean models such as Buhlmann's.

Does anyone know of any software available or under development which is
based on the more recent models such as Hills' thermodynamic model or Wienke's
Reduced Bubble Gradient model ?

I have recently been reading "Basic decompression theory and applications" by
Bruce Wienke which goes into quite some detail on these models at a theoretical
level. I would be very interested to play with some software which implemented
the model to see just how different the decompression staging is (the models
which incorporate free-phase considerations seem to require much
deeper first stops to encourage the dissolution of evolved free phase gas).

I personally find the theory behind these models compelling and Wienke indicates
that the limited testing that has been done seems to support the models well.

Anyone know anything about current thinking on these models (Wienke's book was
published in 1991) ?

I believe that there is a Scubapro dive computer either available or soon to be
available based on these models (Wienke is a consultant to Scubapro) - anyone
know anything about this ?

Cheers,

David.
