>What is C&H and do you have a number for them? Thanks. > >Is the C & H catalog online ? C&H is sells mixed electronic/mechanical surplus, slightly more upscale (scientific and test rather than hydraulics) than Surplus Center, and a little more expensive. Some, but not much HP gas stuff, but one of several surplus catalogs worth keeping an eye on if you like that sort of stuff. I found out about them in the OXY HACKER book. They have a web address, www.candhsales.com but I've never been there because, unlike Macmaster Carr, C&H will actually send you a catalog and I have fast hands and a slow inet connection. telephone is 1-800-325-9465. Actually, while the Krytox was a great buy at $12, at $35 it may be a steal for the heavy user, but most of us non-commercial entities would be better off putting the $35 towards a 2 oz tube of Christolube, since Christolube seems to have the edge on Krytox, for use in regulators. And anyhow unless one is spec-kitting BP regs with the stuff a 2 oz tube is going to last pretty much forever. There's some other good stuff left in the C&H catalog - I just used one of their $5 surplus flowmeters, a 0-5000 gauge, and an old reg 1st to build a combo tank pressure checker/mix sampler/emergency O2 administration reg, ala OXY HACKER - quite the rig. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
