Give it up, Eric. Christina is a real junker, and you'll not win this argument any time soon. Incidentally, most all wrecks are identified through a combination of archive research and exploration. The only way I know of to positively identify a shipwreck is to recover some identifiable artifact. Just like the lady says. >> As a serious wreck diver who has assisted inidentifing many "virgin >> wrecks" neither I or my associates have every had to remove an artifact >> to identify a wreck. > >How many wrecks have you identified in a real ocean with salt water and >wood-boring organisms in it? > >> Take only pictures and leave the wrecks intact for >> future divers to enjoy. > >I would rather enjoy it myself... _now_. We can always make more for >"future generations to enjoy" (Mother Nature can take care of this >for us, too). > >Regards, > >Christina ------------------------------------------------------- Scot Anderson email: scot@bt*.co* web: http://www.btg.com/~scot/ "Is he back from that dive trip yet?"
